Chakras
Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning wheel and serves as a junction point between body and consciousness, or between matter and mind. Chakras are vortices of energy that receive, assimilate, and express life force.
A human body is an energy form and the functioning of chakras reflects in every aspect of our life....physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
There are seven Chakras located throughout the body, each with their own unique attributes and characteristics.
The ancient traditions perceived the chakra system as a column of energy centers that extends from the base of the spine to the top of the head. Chakras are a part of our non-physical anatomy but the location of each chakra loosely corresponds to an area of the body’s anatomy and is associated with a specific color.
When the flow of energy in one or more of the chakras becomes blocked, we may develop physical and mental illnesses. Understanding about the chakras, identifying the imbalances and correcting them can free us from negative thoughts, detrimental emotions, negative patterns of behavior and physical illness.
