Third Eye

The third eye is also known as the inner eye and is a mystical concept referring to the ajna (brow) chakra in certain spiritual traditions. It is also spoken of as the gate that leads to inner realms and spaces of consciousness.
The third eye chakra is located in the brain, directly behind the eyebrow center at the top of spinal chord i.e at the medulla oblongata. In the Indian tradition, it is referred to as the gyananakashu, "the eye of knowledge". Ajna Chakra literally mean “to command”.
This chakra is also called the “Third Eye” as its activation gives one the power of intuitive knowledge and it’s awakening implies the higher stages of wisdom.
